This album chronicles the journeys of Roy Ruth, a motorcycle poet exploring the neglected corners of collective imagination through geographic and literary exploration.  "Night Man in a Winter Valley" takes place in Yosemite, with the author in a strange place at a strange time, garnering money, time, and shelter to keep writing through transitional times.  In the end, night falls and the cold, slow granite wins, as always.
